April 2008 - With great sadness, we must share that we have lost a dear friend and cameraman who shot a great portion of the film, "From The 50 Yard Line". Bill Anweiler unexpectedly passed away last week due to a heart attack. He volunteered his time to shoot the film with us, and it is a huge loss to our "...50 Yard Line" family. One of the only times I saw Bill with tears in his eyes was after watching "From the 50 Yard Line". He was very proud of the film and mentioned it to whomever he met. If you were involved in the film, I'm sure you would remember him running around with the camera catching every shot. He was truly amazing !!
You can read more about him through the following link. A scholarship fund has been set up in his name for those who wish to keep his memory alive: http://www.blakehousemedia.com/BillAnweiler

This website is a resource for information regarding the current film project, entitled, "From the 50 Yard Line", which follows the Centerville Jazz Band, a prestigious High School Marching Band in Centerville, Ohio.
As a long time admirer of the outstanding work the Centerville Jazz has done for young people, I particularly enjoyed having the opportunity to see first hand from my own high school experience, the positive life changing effects of the Centerville marching band program. Our documentary explores an inside look of this band experience; basically following the Band from Auditions & Band Camp to Competition. We explore the rewards of disciplined practice, the often overlooked technical artistry of the group endeavor, the life changing effects, as well as the excitement of competition.
For those who have had this Marching Band experience, the rewards and excitement are obvious. No where else do you see hundreds of teenagers working together in such unison and commitment for one common goal. It is truly staggering to see the commitment and discipline of these young people. The subject speaks for itself, and has not been portrayed on television or the big screen, and will truly be a positive and entertaining film.
